Precautions
We recommend that you stop taking blood-thinning medication about two weeks before the treatment. During a personal consultation, we will explain exactly how to prepare for the procedure and what you need to bear in mind.
Treatment
Unlike traditional breast augmentation, breast surgery with Mia Femtech™ can be performed on an outpatient basis under twilight sedation. The procedure itself takes between 30 and 45 minutes.
The implant is inserted through a small incision in the armpit using a special insertion device, without damaging the breast tissue or touching the implant itself. The breast tissue is not completely separated from the chest wall, but gently stretched. This spares the nerves, vessels, and, above all, the ligaments of the breast. This “no-touch technique” minimizes the risk of infection and enables accelerated healing.
Aftercare
As the treatment does not leave any scars on the breast, you can wear a normal, well-fitting bra without underwire immediately. You should wear this together with a chest band (above the breast) day and night for the first 1-2 weeks. We then recommend wearing a bra without a chest band for 4 weeks and then no bra for as long as possible.
Most of our patients are able to return to work after one to two days, as long as their work does not involve physically strenuous activities. Complete healing takes about three weeks, during which time you should refrain from intense physical activities such as sports.
