Nutritional Counselling

Preface

Do you know your nutrition type? Do you have questions about weight and nutrition? To your skin and how this can be improved with nutrition? Do you often feel tired in the morning? Do you tend to flatulence during the day? Are you so full of nutritional tips that you no longer know what really suits you and what doesn’t?

We take care of your personal questions. The aim is to offer you profound advice and support in the areas of weight reduction, prevention of skin aging / healthy aging and food intolerances (inflammatory reaction in the body / silent inflammation). We are aware that a change in diet is a far-reaching process and does not require a one-off consultation, but often long-term support.

Clients (patients) of the Utoquai Clinic are accompanied by preventive and/or therapeutic nutritional advice before or during the course of treatment. The basic concept of nutrition therapy is also based on 4 pillars:

  • Build up
  • Reject
  • Equalize
  • Stabilize

Procedure

What does individual nutritional counselling actually mean? This means that we take a close look at your diet and metabolism and accompany you individually. There is no right diet for everyone, everyone has their own individual metabolism, strengths and weaknesses. Digestion plays an important role here. The analysis includes the following important points:

  • A detailed anamnesis discussion including a visual analysis
  • 24 hours nutrition protocol
  • Laboratory analyses of blood, urine and saliva (if required)

The analysis offers are individually adapted. The basis is the analysis discussion including visual analysis and a 24-hour nutrition protocol.

Possible treatment concept

The treatment concept includes the monitoring of the change in diet, which is individually aligned. This is supported by leaflets which are available in German and English. The nutritional recommendations are based on the “Logi anti-inflammatory” concept. In addition to nutritional adaptation, the important metabolic organs such as liver, kidneys and intestines are supported with selected foods and spices or plant preparations in the form of tea, tinctures or spagyric. Another therapy concept also integrates the use of individualized micronutrient preparations (primarily vitamins and trace elements). In addition, products and preparations already taken by the client are adapted or supplemented by individualized products as required. The consultation procedures are documented in detail and stored in the clinic’s own practice program. Thus the course as well as the success of the therapy can be worked up exactly.

In principle, it is assumed that the clients are self-payers. If you have been referred by a doctor, the basic insurance rate applies. Initial appointments are arranged via the clinic utoquai, further appointments are planned by the respective nutritionist. The total costs depend on the number of sessions and the additional laboratory analyses required and will be discussed with you during the consultation hours in advance. In some cases, supplementary insurance also covers part of the costs.

Anti-inflammatory diet

What does nutrition have to do with inflammation? More than we think, because everything we eat is broken down and transformed in our body in different ways. If this process no longer works, we cannot produce enough digestive juices or there is an imbalance of the intestinal bacteria. This in turn often leads to the formation of endogenous substances that produce inflammation, while there are foods that tend to promote inflammation and those that tend to reduce inflammation. Many diseases of civilization have a connection with silent inflammations in the body. We show connections and accompany the conversion to an anti-inflammatory nutrition.

Nutrition and lymphatic system

Since the complex interactions between the lymphatic system and nutrition in medicine are still little researched, the connections are often not included in the therapy. If one looks in depth at the tasks of the lymph, it becomes clear that it is dependent on various substances from the diet. In addition to the blood circulation, the lymphatic system forms its own transport system. It mainly contains medium-chain fatty acids, protein complexes, various salts, minerals and degradation products. Lymph plays a major role in the detoxification capacity of blood and cells and is closely linked to the vegetative nervous system and immune System. The amount of liquid, salts, plant substances consumed and the quality and thermality of food and drink have an influence on lymph. We advise you in connection with your personal questions and concerns about lymph. Lymphatic drainage can also support the therapy.

Skin and Nutrition

The skin is the mirror of our inner life and the most important detoxification system of the organism. If this system is strained for a long time, the skin reacts with diffuse symptoms such as acne, neurodermatitis, eczema, skin fungi, etc.. Here too, the entire metabolism should be carefully considered in order to maintain a healthy appearance of the skin for a long time.

Beauty flaws such as deep wrinkles, dark circles around the eyes, bags of tears, spider veins, etc. can be caused by an overload of the metabolism and can be reduced by a far-reaching therapy.

Allergies / Intolerances

Allergies can manifest themselves through the skin or through digestive complaints such as flatulence and pain. Nowadays they are often the result of an overloaded nervous system and an imbalance in the gastrointestinal tract. This can lead to congestion and derailment. If this is the case, a hypersensitive reaction of the immune system develops, which can be shown by the onset of allergies. Instead of a symptomatic therapy of the allergic reaction, the regulation of the metabolism allows the symptoms to subside but also calms the immune system, which prevents an outbreak of allergy in the long term.
