Consultation
During a personal consultation, we will determine your individual needs and decide whether Radiesse® is the right option for you. We will explain the procedure in detail and answer any questions you may have about the treatment.
Precautions
You should refrain from taking blood-thinning medication for about 2 weeks before the treatment. However, please do not stop taking these medications without consulting your doctor. You should also avoid alcohol and nicotine consumption during this time.
Treatment
The treatment is performed on an outpatient basis and takes approximately 15–30 minutes. Anesthesia is not usually necessary; if required, we can apply an anesthetic cream. First, the skin in the area of the injection site is thoroughly cleaned. We then inject the Radiesse® filler into the skin using a fine needle.
Aftercare
In most cases, our patients are able to resume their normal social activities immediately after treatment. There may be slight swelling or redness, which should subside after a few days at the latest.
After treatment, be careful not to put any pressure on the treatment area. You should refrain from visiting saunas and strenuous physical exercise for the next 2 weeks. It is important to apply sunscreen with a high sun protection factor during this time.
