Radiesse® Zurich – smooth skin thanks to fillers

Wrinkles are part of getting older. If you do not want to simply accept them, there are numerous anti-ageing creams on the market that promise to help. However, these products do not always achieve the desired result. Radiesse®, a gel-like filler that is used for anti-wrinkle injections and to correct volume loss, is much more effective.

The filler mainly consists of calcium and phosphate ions. They are also present in the human body in a similar form, which means that the treatment is generally very well tolerated. Are you looking for an effective treatment option for your wrinkles? At the utoquai clinic, we can help you achieve smoother skin thanks to Radiesse®. Please feel free to make an appointment for an initial consultation.

Advantages of Radiesse®

With Radiesse®, it is possible to plump up wrinkles from the inside and thus make the skin look smooth. In addition to filling in wrinkles, the treatment can also be used to increase volume. Furthermore, the skin structure can be improved as the filler stimulates the collagen fibres in the skin. This allows the skin to regain its elasticity.

Am I a good candidate for Radiesse®?

Radiesse® is suitable for all people who:

  • show signs of age-related volume loss in the face
  • have wrinkles or fine lines on the face
  • wish to improve the contours of their face

Compared to other treatments such as botulinum toxin or hyaluronic acid injections, Radiesse® can be particularly helpful if you are looking for longer-lasting results. However, there are also some contraindications. For example, the treatment should not be carried out if the patient is allergic to any of the ingredients, or if there is active inflammation or infection in the injection area. Pregnancy, breastfeeding and using blood thinners are also contraindications.

The Radiesse® treatment process

Each of our treatments begins with a detailed discussion in which we consider your individual needs and wishes. Let us determine if Radiesse® is the best possible option for you and answer all your questions.

Preparation for the treatment

You should refrain from taking blood thinners for about one week before the treatment. However, please do not stop taking these medications without consulting your doctor.

The treatment process

The treatment itself normally takes a maximum of 30 minutes. An anaesthetic is usually not necessary, but we can apply an anaesthetic cream, if necessary. First, the skin in the area of the injection site is thoroughly cleaned. Then we inject the Radiesse® filler into the skin using a fine needle.

What should I consider after the treatment?

In most cases, our patients are able to resume social activities immediately after the treatment. There may be slight swelling or redness, but it should subside after a few days or less.

After the procedure, be careful not to apply any pressure to the treatment area. You should avoid going to the sauna and strenuous physical exercise for the next two weeks. It is important to apply sun protection with a high sun protection factor during this time.
