Wrinkle treatment with hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid, often called hyaluron for short, is a substance of natural origin that is also produced by the human body and is mainly found in connective tissue and joints.
The body’s own production of hyaluronic acid continues to decline with age. Since it is responsible for the elasticity of the skin, a reduced production of the substance also means a gradual loss of tissue elasticity. As a result, the connective tissue slackens, sags and wrinkles. For wrinkle injections and volume treatment of the face, neck or décolleté, hyaluronic acid is produced in the laboratory in accordance with the strictest safety requirements.
Hyaluronic acid wrinkle injections are particularly suitable for the treatment of sagging corners of the mouth (marionette wrinkles) or nasolabial folds.

Procedure
Before we start the treatment, our patients receive a light anesthetic ointment if desired. The hyaluron preparation is then injected directly under the wrinkles using a fine needle. The “filler” takes effect here immediately by filling the sunken skin with volume. Wrinkles are thus reduced or completely smoothed, depending on the depth and amount of the injection. In addition, the tissue is provided with new moisture, making it appear fresher and healthier.
Initial results of the injection are visible immediately, with further visual improvements to the skin gradually taking shape.
The treatment time is approximately 15 to 30 minutes, the treatment is performed on an outpatient basis, and our patients usually find it very painless.
After-effects
Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the human body and therefore very gentle when injected. Allergic reactions occur only in extremely rare cases. Other risks such as temporary mild redness and swelling can be kept to a minimum when treated by a specialist with many years of experience.
Aftercare
Wrinkle treatment does not usually cause any major pain, only a slight pinching can be felt from the puncture. Patients can resume their daily routine immediately after the procedure, but should wait a few days before engaging in sports activities. Work can be resumed the following day.
The effect of hyaluronic acid lasts up to one year before the effect wears off and the substance is completely broken down by the body. It can be refreshed as often as desired.

The cost of hyaluronic acid treatment depends heavily on varying factors such as the treatment area, the amount of the substance used and the individual wishes of our patients. The application is not covered by most health insurance companies, as it is a purely aesthetic procedure.
