Precautions
You should not take any blood-thinning medication for about 2 weeks before the treatment. You should also refrain from alcohol and nicotine during this time. Please come to your appointment without any makeup on.
Treatment
Wrinkle injections with hyaluronic acid are performed on an outpatient basis and take 15–30 minutes. Anesthesia is not necessary; upon request, we can apply an anesthetic cream to the treatment area.
The filler is injected into the skin using a fine needle, where it takes effect by filling in the sunken skin with volume. Depending on the depth and amount of the injection, wrinkles are reduced or completely smoothed out. In addition, the tissue is supplied with new moisture, making it appear fresher and healthier.
Aftercare
Immediately after treatment, our patients can usually resume their daily routine, but should wait a few days before engaging in sporting activities. They can return to work the following day.
The initial results of the injection are visible immediately, with further visual improvements to the skin gradually taking shape. The final result is usually visible after 1–2 weeks. The effect of hyaluronic acid lasts up to one year before it wears off and the substance is completely broken down by the body. Refreshers can be administered as often as desired.
