Advantages of HArmonyCA™
HArmonyCA™ is an injection treatment with special advantages. It uses ingredients that are also present in the human body, which minimises the risk of allergic reactions. The minimally invasive treatment is usually quick and painless.
HArmonyCA™ can be used to treat wrinkles, volume loss and contouring. Other benefits include: the dual action of hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite, improvement of skin structure and stimulation of collagen formation.
Am I a good candidate for HArmonyCA™?
The treatment is suitable for people with age-related changes to their face, such as loss of volume or sagging skin. People who are looking to naturally rejuvenate their face without making radical changes are also good candidates for HArmonyCA™.
However, a personal consultation must be scheduled first to determine whether the selected therapy is the best possible treatment option. Depending on the patient’s individual needs and goals, another injection-based method may be more suitable.
There are also some contraindications. Treatment is not suitable for:
- hypersensitivity to steroids
- existing severe allergies
- impaired wound healing
- susceptibility to scarring or skin inflammation
- inflammation in the treatment area
- Skin diseases
- A known hypersensitivity to the ingredients
HArmonyCA™ is also not used to treat dark circles under the eyes or for lip injections.
The procedure: what you can expect before and during a HArmonyCA™ treatment
Each of our treatments is preceded by a detailed consultation. We will discuss your needs and wishes and work together to determine which treatment is best for you.
Preparation for the treatment
It is best to refrain from taking blood thinners for about one week before the treatment. However, you should always discuss any discontinuation with your attending physician. The treatment is considered to be painless, but we can apply an anaesthetic cream beforehand for patients who are sensitive to pain.
The treatment process
The injection treatment usually takes about half an hour. The filling substance is injected into the area to be treated using fine needles. Most of our patients can return to their usual activities immediately afterwards.
What should I consider after the treatment?
There are a few things to bear in mind after the treatment. Avoid direct sunlight, tanning studios and strenuous activities for the next 24 hours. Cool the treatment areas during this time to minimise any swelling and redness. These symptoms should subside after a few days or less.
You will usually notice an initial effect immediately after the treatment. The final result will improve over the coming weeks. How long it will last is different for each individual, but it can last for up to two years.
